FROM SCANS TO FITTED PRODUCTS

At Moolean we are developing products that are derived from 3D scans of human body. Here's a list of a few of our experiments and forays showcasing the potential of 3D scanning.

WRIST CAST

Using 3D scans of a person's wrist, we can create a 3D printable cast. The procedure is still in prototyping phase. We can use the raw scan data and generate profiles automatically which can then be used as input to a solids modeling program. We are looking for collaborators and investors to develop this further.

 

Shoe INSERTS AND CUSTOM-FIT FOOTWEAR

If you have high-arched feet or are flat-footed, you have probably experienced pain when walking on hard surfaces, especially when you get older. Without proper support for the arch, a person may develop constant pain or discomfort while walking or standing. The traditional solution for this is to insert an in-sole in your shoe to support your feet. At Moolean we are using 3D scanning to solve this problem. With a 3D scan and our custom process we can design and print your insole or even design custom footwear such as slipper or sandals. 3D scanning can be done at our facility using high resolution scanners. We are currently working on ways to deduce the 3D shape from videos of the feet.

ARCH-SUPPORTING BASE

 

Design from the 3D scan of a person's foot, this 3D printed base provides arch a much needed constant support for the arch.

PERFECT FIT PLATFORM

A test print shows how well the shape of the base matches the curves of the feet. This base can then be used to design custom footwear.
